Privacy Policy
Last updated June 21, 2026. Plain version: we collect as little as we can, your questions aren't a product, and your saved history lives on your device.
What we collect
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email to tell you about pricing and shipping. Unsubscribe any time.
- Account email. If you create an account to manage a device, we store your email and a hashed session token, never a plaintext password.
- Device check-ins. Your calculator reports basic health to keep it updated: firmware and app versions, signal strength, and the last time it was seen. No location, no contacts, nothing personal.
Your questions and the AI
When you ask a question, it travels over Wi-Fi to our servers and on to the AI provider (for example, OpenAI). We broker the request so the API key never lives on the calculator. We do not sell your questions, show you ads, or build an advertising profile from what you ask.
Your saved history stays on the device, not on our servers. We keep request counts for abuse prevention and support, and we log provider errors, but those logs are scrubbed of prompts, answers, API keys, and auth headers.
Bring-your-own-key
If you supply your own provider API key, it's encrypted at rest and only ever decrypted on our servers to make a request on your behalf. It is never sent back to a browser or to the calculator, and you can delete it at any time.
Cookies and analytics
The dashboard uses a single secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in. The marketing site uses privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics only, with no cross-site tracking.
Your choices
- Access or delete your account data by emailing us.
- Delete a stored API key from the dashboard whenever you want.
- Unsubscribe from the waitlist using the link in any email.
Children
DojoCalc isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Significant changes will be announced to people with accounts.
